Gurugram weddings run on three clocks. Hotel ballrooms on Golf Course Road and Sohna Road sell in-house catering with a minimum spend; the hall is often free above a guaranteed count. Farmhouses on Sohna Road and towards Manesar give you the lawn and little else, so kitchens, power and vendor access are built for the day. Guests cross the city at peak hour, so baraat windows are set around traffic. Published venue guides list overtime at ₹25,000 to 1 lakh an hour, corkage at ₹500 to 1,500 a bottle and genset charges of ₹15,000 to 50,000. Haryana's one-day liquor permit is reported at ₹10,000 to 15,000. GST is usually extra.

How far ahead should we book a Gurgaon venue for December?
