Wedding hashtag generator
Two names in, dozens of hashtags out. Blends, Hinglish, surname puns.
Nothing you type leaves your browser. Any script works — हिंदी too. Spaces and symbols are dropped.
Type both first names to see your hashtags.
In short
A good wedding hashtag is short, easy to say aloud and not already in use. Blend both names, add “ki shaadi”, or pun on the surname. Then add the year or city if the plain version is taken.

Wedding hashtag questions
How do I make a wedding hashtag?
Start with both first names, then try a blend of the two (Virat and Anushka became Virushka), a Hinglish line such as #AnanyaKiShaadi, or a pun on the surname. Keep it under about 20 characters, easy to spell aloud, and check that nobody else is already using it.
How do I check if a wedding hashtag is taken?
Search it on Instagram before you print it anywhere. Tap “taken?” next to any suggestion above to open that tag on Instagram. If it already has posts from another wedding, add your year, city or surname to make it yours.
Should an Indian wedding have one hashtag or one per function?
One main hashtag is easiest for guests to remember. Some families add a short tag per function, such as #AKMehendi or #AKSangeet, so photos from each day are easy to find later. Print the main one on the invitation and the signage at every venue.
Where should the wedding hashtag appear?
On the save-the-date, the invitation and the wedding website, on signage at the welcome desk and photo-op, and in the guest WhatsApp group. Guests use a hashtag they see at the moment they take the photo.
Is this hashtag generator free?
Yes. It runs in your browser, needs no sign-up, and nothing you type is sent or stored.
