Venue Selection

Choosing a venue is the foundation of your wedding. We guide you through capacity, budget, amenities, weather, vendor policies, and regional options so you select confidently.

We take on 60 weddings a year — 10 dates remaining in 2026–27.

How to choose a wedding venue

Start with guest count, budget per plate, indoor vs. outdoor preference, and weather considerations. Evaluate vendor restrictions (can you bring your own décor? Catering partner?), accessibility, timeline from booking to wedding, and backup contingency for weather.

Venue comparison framework

Create a comparison matrix: capacity, cost per plate, F&B options, décor flexibility, parking, accommodation options, ceremony and reception spaces, weather backup, and rental costs. Top venues in each region vary significantly on these factors.

Regional venue breakdown

Goa: beach resorts and heritage properties, roughly ₹1,800–4,500 per plate from four-star to luxury five-star. Udaipur and Jaipur: palace and lakeside venues, from about ₹4,500 per plate up to ₹8,500–16,000 at palaces such as Rambagh. Delhi NCR: hotels and farmhouses, ₹1,500–8,000+ per plate. Each region has its own logistics, seasons and guest experience.

Investment range

₹10L – ₹3Cr+ depending on venue and guest count

Questions

Frequently asked

How much should venue cost?

Per plate runs from about ₹1,500 at budget Delhi banquets to ₹8,500–16,000 at palace hotels, usually plus GST. Venue and food together typically take 40 to 50 percent or more of the total budget, so price every function, not just the wedding dinner.

What is the difference between Goa and Udaipur venues?

Goa offers beach/resort aesthetics, outdoor ceremonies, and tropical feel. Udaipur offers palace charm, water ceremonies, and heritage architecture. Cost and experience differ significantly.

How early should I book a venue?

Premium venues book 12–16 months in advance for peak season. Mid-tier venues need 8–12 months. Always secure venue before committing to catering, décor, or major services.

What questions should I ask venues?

Ask about F&B options, décor restrictions, photography/videography policies, alcohol policies, parking, weather backup plans, and cancellation terms.

Can we negotiate venue pricing?

Yes. Off-season dates, weekday weddings, and package deals often yield 10-20% discounts. We help negotiate on behalf of clients.
