Should you hire a wedding content creator?

Only if you want the wedding on your own accounts within hours. A content creator shoots phone video and photos for reels and stories, edited the same day, while the photo and film team delivers in weeks. Solo creators charge ₹12,000–20,000 a day, two-person teams ₹30,000–60,000, named teams ₹1–3 lakh a day plus travel. Our own behind-the-scenes service runs ₹15,000–1.25 lakh.

How do you choose a wedding photographer in India?

Look at two full weddings they shot, not a highlights reel, and check the light and skin tones in the night functions. Published bands run ₹50,000–3 lakh for typical coverage and ₹2.5–20 lakh for multi-day candid plus film packages. Book 9–12 months out.

The lead shooter's name and the team size per day, what happens if they are replaced, the number of edited photographs, film lengths, drone and album as separate lines, raw-file policy, delivery dates with a number of days, travel and stay for outstation functions, the payment schedule and whether 18 percent GST is included.

Do you need two videographers at an Indian wedding?

For a single-function city wedding, one is enough. For a baraat, pheras and reception running in parallel spaces, or any destination wedding, two shooters are standard, one with the groom's side and one with the bride's, because the milni, the entry and the vidaai happen in different places at the same time. Name both in the contract.

Platform-published 2025-26 rates put a typical wedding DJ at ₹50,000–1.5 lakh, basic setups from ₹7,000 and name DJs at ₹1–7 lakh, before 18 percent GST. The difference is who reads the room: at the bottom you rent equipment with an operator, in the middle someone who runs an Indian sangeet floor. Sound and LED are usually priced separately.

Choreographers run ₹15,000–60,000 for a whole wedding, ₹2,500–3,500 an hour or ₹10,000–12,000 per performance, on well-sourced platform data. Agree the basis in writing before rehearsals start, because a sangeet with eight family acts is a different bill from one with three. Sound and light for the night add ₹40,000–2 lakh.

Three to five, chosen on paper first by capacity, rooms and date. The four-pillared canopy under which the pheras are taken, representing the four parents and the home the couple builds. On its own it has no published price: decorators quote it inside a mandap-stage-entrance bundle of roughly ₹1–5 lakh, with flower-heavy or crystal mandaps rising above that. Compare bundle against bundle, and reuse it as the reception backdrop.

How do you do wedding stage decoration on a low budget?

Spend on light, not flowers: a lit fabric backdrop, a festoon or fairy-light ceiling and uplighters on the venue's own walls transform a stage for ₹25,000–75,000 in our experience, well under the ₹1–4 lakh basic-décor band. Use one large floral piece, marigold or foliage over imported blooms, rent the stage from the venue, and reuse the sangeet set for the reception.

Wholesale flower markets, Ghazipur phool mandi in Delhi, Dadar in Mumbai, KR Market in Bengaluru, for marigold strings and loose blooms at a fraction of retail; Sadar Bazar and Chandni Chowk lanes for fabric, lights and props; rental houses for furniture and structures.
